One of the things I love about this area is finding new, beautiful locations to use for sessions- especially when clients want to mix it up a little! This spot in particular was such a unique location for family photos in Austin. And as much as I love the studio for families, this was a fun one to complete this sweet girl’s First Year Collective!

This location has a ton of beautiful vintage elements like an old Ford truck, a vintage bus, and even a rusty Tuk Tuk taxi! My favorite might just be the greenhouse with black and white tile, though! It very much fits with the “Keep Austin Weird” motto, but can also be so beautiful with the filtered sunlight coming through the trees.

We started by exploring the space for a bit before ending the session in the greenhouse. It’s always a joy to spend time with these sweet parents- they are so loving and playful with their little girl so we have a lot of fun together! And as you can see, we got lots of smiles from the birthday girl along the way!

SAP First Year Membership

You may recognize this family from their beautiful studio maternity session. Over the course of past next year I have had the honor of photographing their baby girl for her newborn and sitter milestone sessions, too! This fourth session completes the Collective. As sad as I am to see babies grow and complete their first year of sessions, its always such a blessing getting to know families and documenting these big milestones for them.

With each of this family’s sessions, we’ve added images to a beautiful custom, first year album. This is such a helpful process for busy Mamas because that first year always goes by in a blur. Albums are hard to keep up with on your own when you have so many competing priorities as a new Mama, so I’m glad to offer this custom-design service to families.

We’ve also been planning a six-piece gallery wall using images from each of their four sessions. Another added bonus? Once her framed prints arrive, I will do the installation so that Mom and Dad don’t have to stress over measuring, arranging, and hanging their frames on their own.
