Working with families year after year as an Austin family photographer has been such an incredible honor. To be honest, repeat clients are one of the greatest compliments a photographer can get! After five sessions with this sweet family, they have truly become such wonderful friends.

And while I get to document them each year, this year was a little different.

You may recognize this beautiful Mama, Nasreen, as the lifestyle blogger behind Hey Nasreen. Or see their Fall family photos last year! She has been open about her recent health diagnosis on Instagram, and even though I know the news she received has been so scary, she has handled it with so much grace. Knowing that life was about to change drastically for their family, she immediately reached out about their portrait session.

The fact that this beautiful Mama prioritized portraits with her family at that moment was so telling about her love for her kids and husband.

The thing is, even when faced with unknowns and scary news, she knew she wanted to freeze this time with her family before treatment started. And though their family session in Austin wasn’t scheduled until later this Fall, I immediately cleared my schedule to ensure we could fit their session in at my studio.

Planning Your Wardrobe with Ease | Family Session in Austin

On their session day, Nasreen and her family joined me at the studio. Their previous sessions were outdoors but to keep it easy on everyone with weather and getting ready, the studio was perfect this time.

Having pushed their session up so abruptly, we didn’t have time for a wardrobe consult. But, within minutes of arriving, everyone had coordinating outfits to wear from the SAP Client Wardrobe in all of their sizes.

The kids adored helping Mama pick out a dress! She looked so stunning!! I’ve had so many messages about her gorgeous dress but unfortunately it’s sold out. The good news is if you book a session, you’ll have access to it for your family session in Austin too! I’m so grateful that this service was an option for them- one less thing to stress about when they already have enough on their plate.

Mothers are often the center of the family- and Nasreen absolutely embodies that for her kids. It is my hope that when her children see these portraits they feel the love that their Mama has for them!
