I was born in Mumbai, India, and spent my childhood moving around the world with my trusty camera in hand. In my ever-shifting world, my camera was the only thing that remained constant and reminded me of all the places and people I had called home. Since moving to Austin, Texas in 2003 and starting a family of my own, photography is still a constant and I love how it allows me to vividly relive some of the most beautiful times of my life.

Whether you’re decorating the nursery for your first baby or you’re taking a break from a lively playtime with three, it seems like life speeds past without a second for a busy mom to catch her breath. I know the feeling. With a five-year-old boy and a two-year-old girl of my own, it seems like every time I blink, they’ve grown an inch! I often wish I could stop time, treasuring them just as they are now forever.

I was a special education teacher, so there’s literally nothing I can’t handle! I believe that even in the middle of chaos, there is so much beauty, and I believe anyone can have the family session of their dreams.

WHAT MAKES ME UNIQUE
I lived in East Africa as a kid for 6 years. I have seen animals out in the wild at the Serengeti, before I ever saw them in a zoo

I cry watching tv shows and movies all the time- sad cry and happy cry
I went to a high school with kids from 80 different countries
I lived in a city that I share my name with- Sana'a, Yemen
I love popcorn, especially movie theater popcorn- I have to get to the theatre with enough time to get my popcorn and watch all the promos
