This Round Rock sunset session had all of the elements of a dreamy maternity photoshoot- a beautiful Mama, the sweetest connection between parents, and gorgeous sunlight. Add in a few pretty dresses from the client wardrobe and it was the perfect evening!
I talk often about how important it is to book a maternity session because I truly believe its such an important milestone for your family. Whether it’s your first baby or fourth, I promise you will never regret freezing this moment. Images like these will be even more special for your child who will see all of your excitement and love in a tangible form.
Thankfully families like this one not only see the value in maternity portraits, but also in documenting their baby’s first year. As Collective members, I have the honor of documenting this sweet baby girl for her newborn and first birthday sessions, too!
Maternity Dresses for your Session | Round Rock, TX Maternity Photoshoot
Prior to their session, Mama came in to my studio for her styling appointment. These appointments are always fun and feel a little bit like you’re shopping with a girlfriend! She chose three different dresses from the client wardrobe and looked stunning in all of them. But goodness… when I saw the sunlight coming through the lace dress I knew it would be my favorite of the evening!
On session day, Mama had a chance to be pampered by my fabulous hair and makeup artist. This makes such a huge difference for my clients, especially in our Texas heat.
In addition to the lace maxi dress, she also wore a long sleeve white maxi dress and a light pink maxi dress with short, flowy sleeves. Each of these dresses work perfectly with and without a bump, so they could be used for newborn and family sessions as well. I’m so glad I can offer this service to my clients. I always wish I had that option when I was pregnant!
Also, in case you are wondering… yes, you can do outfit changes at an outdoor session! I always bring along a pop-up privacy tent just in case my clients need it. I find this helps make it easy for families to wear a few different looks even when we aren’t in the studio!
