Between the golden sunlight and big brother’s excitement for baby sister, it was such a joy to see this sweet family for their park maternity session near Austin! This family just exudes joy and truly values documenting each stage of life. So when Mom asked if we could do both a maternity and a three month milestone session (stay tuned!), I was thrilled!

As we inched closer to summer we knew it would be warm, but goodness… that crazy Texas heat is back! Thankfully, we managed! And oh my goodness, this big brother brought ALL the sweetness!!

Maternity Session with Older Sibling in Park near Austin

Maternity sessions are always full of so much anticipation and love, and that is what this sweet family embodied. There is also something so special about documenting older siblings at maternity sessions. Hearing kids share how they plan to help Mom and Dad when baby is here is just the sweetest thing!

Big brother could not have been more adorable loving on Mama’s bump. I rarely had to prompt him to hug Mama, he just did that on his own. It’s clear he is going to make such a wonderful big brother!

As we explored the park in between portraits, the sun started to set behind the trees. It gave us the most beautiful light! This is one of the reasons I love sunset maternity sessions- it was pure magic!

It’s these moments that I feel so incredibly grateful to not only work with wonderful families like this one, but to document your family as it grows. I know I say it often, but it truly is such an honor.
