This playful Austin maternity session was so fun and light-filled! Plus, this dad-to-be is one of my closest friends. It was so delightful being able to have them in the studio to celebrate this new season for them! It was such an honor and so much fun doing their maternity session while they were visiting.

A Playful Austin Maternity Session

I love that these two wanted a mix of more traditional images and some more playful ones. I always encourage my clients to be themselves during their sessions. It’s a fun way to document who you are during this time in your lives, and it’s so fun to imagine your kids being able to look back on them one day!

We had so much fun and shared lots of laughs. Dad wanted a handful of silly poses, too, because it’s one hundred percent his personality. I loved that he felt comfortable asking for us to stray from the norm and was so excited about the session. Dads, I know spending an afternoon in the studio isn’t always at the top of your list, but if you go with the flow, you’ll have as much fun as these two!

In Studio Maternity Session

I love when clients opt for in-studio sessions to celebrate the upcoming arrival of their new baby. It’s such a fun experience, and the environment is so flexible and comfortable. I’ve worked so hard over the last few months to design this space exactly how I dreamed, and it’s been so wonderful welcoming clients for each session. 

It’s also great for wardrobe appointments or having clients drop in to get a feel for the space. 

These two were right at home, and welcoming such close friends into this space was such a joy. I loved celebrating this new season for them, and I can’t wait to photograph their little one so soon!
