One of the really special aspects of my job is helping Mamas get into the photo with their families. This family session in my North Austin studio provided Mom with a completely stress-free experience- one that she has never had in the past.

Prior to her session, Mom shared with me that their family had never done photos together. She said it always felt like so much work. Honestly, I hear this often and it breaks my heart! Knowing that their last professional portraits were their wedding photos really hit me what an important task I have. The thing is, it’s not just for Moms to have these beautiful memories to hold onto, but for their kids too!

Family Session in North Austin Studio

Initially we had an outdoor session planned, but when Mom arrived at the studio for her styling appointment she fell in love with the studio. So we switched it up! The studio provided an opportunity for a relaxed session, extra pampering, and time to just enjoy this moment with their kids.

I just loved the playfulness of the photos with Dad mixed with the beautiful, comforting images with Mom. The comfort of the studio, with less distraction, always gives kids a chance to open up and show off their sweet personalities.

Big sister loved to dance so of course we had to document some twirling! Little brother was just full of energy and so giggly. My hope is that these images will bring Mom and Dad back to this stage of life once the kids are grown.

Professional Hair and Makeup & Wardrobe Services

Mom loved having all the services provided for our session, including the client wardrobe and professional hair and makeup. We also did some photos of her without her hijab just for something personal for her own family.
