There is something about having first time parents in the studio… There’s this energy and glow about them as they anticipate finally meeting baby. The maternity session for your first baby is just so special as you prepare for this brand new stage of life!

The thing is, you may add another baby to your family but you’ll never be just the two of you again. Welcoming your first baby marks a huge milestone for Mom and Dad. I personally remember the feeling like it was yesterday, and my oldest just turned eight!

Usually I get to see expecting parents for their maternity session when Mom is just starting her third trimester. I’ll never tire of hearing stories about how they shared the news, how incredible the ultrasounds can be, and seeing the sweet (and a little nervous!) anticipation on their faces!

Studio Maternity Session with your First Baby

There are so many benefits to a studio session which is why I think its such a popular option with expecting families! I find they tend to be perfect for the first time Mamas. I know the struggle of finding cute maternity clothing and dresses- which is why utilizing my client wardrobe (and choosing multiple dresses!) is such a fun bonus.

The white space in the studio also makes for classic images that will work on any wall in your home.

Plus, you don’t need to worry about weather when you choose a studio session. This is especially nice for Mamas in their third trimester during our hot Austin, TX summers!

Hair, Makeup and Wardrobe

With all of the things on your to do list when you’re expecting, I am a firm believer that your maternity session should be as stress-free as possible. The ability to show up to your session in leggings, get pampered by my professional hair and makeup artist, and choose one (or more) dresses from the wardrobe takes so much of the pressure off!
