As a family, maternity, and newborn photographer, I get to document a lot of “firsts” for families here in the Austin area. And if I’ve learned anything from motherhood, its that freezing time for families with portraits is priceless. This is especially true when it comes to newborn sessions.

I swear it was just yesterday my kids were newborns. They have grown so quickly before my eyes, and I’m willing to bet yours will too.

During baby’s first year, there will be so many moments that you’ll want to bottle up to remember forever. And as each year passes you’ll probably feel that way even more! That is why I love offering printed artwork like albums and frames to look back on as your children grow.

As a Mom myself, I know how important those memories are to document. And not just with photos- in videos showing snippets of our family as a whole, too!

That’s why I have been working so hard to document a little bit more for clients during their newborn session.

Beginning in 2022, I will be offering newborn session video alongside photos for First Year Collective clients!!

This newborn session with video was the first session in this family’s First Year Collective.

Big brother was SO sweet with baby sister, who was about a month-old during the session. He has the best smile and was such a proud big brother. It was so fun to be able to document that in both photos AND video!

Over the course of the year, we’ll be planning a wall gallery with images from each of their sessions.

In the meantime, this sweet family now has both professional portraits and video from this adorable newborn session! Mom said she loved the video especially because it captured so many different expressions of baby girl and sweet moments with the whole family. Scroll down to see their video!
